Holly Whimsy’s Log

July 25, 2026

Dear Friend,

I spent part of today sitting beside a little frozen pond, watching the snowflakes land one by one on the ice.

Each one disappeared almost as quickly as it arrived.

It reminded me that beautiful moments don’t have to last forever to matter.

Before heading home, I tied tiny blue ribbons onto a few evergreen branches along the walking path.

Nothing fancy.

Just a cheerful surprise for anyone who wandered by.

I hope today gave you something small to smile about.

And if it didn’t…

Perhaps tomorrow is already carrying that little bit of magic your way.

With warm wishes,

— Holly Whimsy ❄️

Dear Friend,

This morning I wrapped my scarf a little tighter and wandered through the pine forest while the snow quietly drifted all around me.

Everything felt peaceful.

Even the trees seemed to be standing a little closer together, as though they were keeping each other company.

I left a handful of birdseed near my favorite little bench before heading home.

When I looked back, a tiny chickadee had already found it.

Moments like that remind me how kindness doesn’t have to be big to matter.

I hope today brings you something small that makes you smile a warm drink, a cozy blanket, or maybe a friendly hello from someone you weren’t expecting.

Until next time, dear friend.

With warm wishes,

— Holly Whimsy ❄️

Dear Friend,

I hope today has been kind to you.

This morning I watched fresh snow settle across the pine branches, making each tree look as though it had been dusted with powdered sugar.

It reminded me that the world has a beautiful way of slowing us down when we need it most.

Before heading home, I tucked a few extra pinecones beneath a little evergreen for the woodland animals.

By evening they had all disappeared.

I like imagining how excited those tiny visitors must have been to find such a surprise.

Wherever you are today, I hope you find a small moment that makes you pause and smile.

Until next time, dear friend.

With warm wishes,

— Holly Whimsy ❄️

Dear Friend,

This morning felt wonderfully quiet.

The breeze carried the soft scent of pine through the trees, and for a little while I simply listened.

Sometimes we think magic has to be loud to be noticed.

I don’t think that’s true.

Magic can be found in birds greeting the sunrise, leaves dancing together in the wind, or the warm feeling of wrapping both paws around a cup of something cozy.

I gathered a few pinecones today and imagined how lovely they’ll look when winter arrives. Every season leaves little gifts behind for the next one.

I think that’s rather beautiful.

The world is always preparing something wonderful.

We just have to notice.

With warm wishes,

— Holly Whimsy ❄️

Dear Friend,

I know it’s July, but I made myself a mug of hot cocoa this morning anyway. Some people think cocoa belongs to winter, but I think it belongs to anyone who wants to feel cozy. I carried my mug outside and watched the breeze wander through the trees while the birds argued over something very important. At least, it sounded important.

Later I stopped by the Winter Wishes Workshop to see how everything was coming along. The shelves are still mostly empty, but I don’t mind. I think every wonderful place starts out a little quiet before it’s filled with laughter. I dusted a few lanterns, folded some scarves, and straightened ribbons that seemed determined to become tangled again the moment I looked away. Ribbons can be surprisingly mischievous.

On my walk home, I noticed a tiny flower growing through a crack in the path. Nobody planted it there, yet somehow it found enough sunshine to bloom anyway. It reminded me that kindness works the same way. Sometimes the smallest act of kindness appears exactly where someone needs it most.

I spent part of the afternoon writing ideas for Enchanted Winter in my notebook. Warm lights. Cozy corners. Friendly smiles. Little surprises that make people stop and grin without even realizing it. Those are my favorite kinds of plans.

As the sun began to set, I lit one little lantern inside the workshop before locking the door. It wasn’t dark enough to need it, but I liked the thought of one warm light waiting inside. Somehow it made the whole place feel hopeful, as if winter already knew it was welcome.

Now I’m home with another cup of cocoa, a soft blanket, and a notebook that’s slowly filling with dreams. Winter is still a long way off, but good things are worth preparing for. Besides, a little bit of winter magic can live in your heart all year long if you let it.

Until next time,

With warm wishes,
❄️ Holly Whimsy
