Celebration Bulletin

Exciting news!

The Summer Picnic preparations are officially complete!

The lemonade has been chilled.

The picnic blankets have been folded.

The games have been tested…

Twice.

(One beanbag may still be living on the roof, but we’re calling that decorative.)

The Cookie Committee has approved every single batch.

The Music Committee promises plenty of dancing.

If tomorrow is half as joyful as today’s preparations, we’re in for a wonderful celebration.

Celebration Bulletin

Good news!

Preparations are officially underway for this weekend’s Neighborhood Picnic!

Tables have been polished.

Banners have been hung.

The balloon count has reached forty-three…

Although I only ordered forty.

I’m choosing not to ask questions.

The Cookie Committee reports excellent progress.

The Music Committee has promised dancing.

The Bubble Station may be a little overprepared, but I refuse to believe that’s possible.

If you hear laughter echoing through town tomorrow…

You’ll know we’re doing our job.

Celebration Bulletin

Attention, everyone!

Today’s biggest success…

The annual Lemonade Stand Challenge officially raised enough coins to buy brand-new library books for the neighborhood!

There were smiles.

Sticky fingers.

Questionable juggling.

One spectacular cup spill.

And somehow…

Everything still went exactly as planned.

The planning committee deserves a round of applause.

The cleanup crew deserves two.

Today’s planning board was full of birthdays.

Some belonged to children.

Some belonged to grown-ups.

I smiled while decorating every single page because birthdays never stop being important.

It doesn’t matter if you’re turning six or sixty-six.

Everyone deserves to feel celebrated.

I spent the afternoon matching colorful ribbons with gift tags and thinking about little surprises that make people smile. Balloons are wonderful, of course, but handwritten notes might be my favorite decoration of all.

They’re tiny keepsakes.

Long after the cake has disappeared, someone can still unfold a kind note and remember exactly how loved they felt that day.

That’s worth celebrating too.

Today was all about celebrating life’s little milestones.

Everyone talks about birthdays—and don’t get me wrong, I love birthdays—but there are so many other moments worth celebrating too. Finishing a big project, learning a new skill, welcoming a new baby, graduating, getting a new job, retiring, or even accomplishing something you’ve worked really hard for. Every achievement deserves someone cheering you on.

This morning I spent time organizing celebration ideas into different folders. One for birthdays, one for graduations, one for anniversaries, one for baby showers, and one simply labeled “Just Because.” I think “just because” celebrations might secretly be my favorite.

I also found a box of colorful ribbons I thought I’d used up months ago. Finding extra craft supplies always feels like a tiny celebration of its own.

One thing I always hope people remember is that you don’t need a giant party to make someone feel appreciated. Sometimes a thoughtful card, a homemade treat, a balloon, or a few kind words can turn an ordinary day into one they’ll remember for years.

Life is full of moments that deserve a little applause.

I think my job is simply to help people notice them.
